Taneda Santôka
1882 - 1940
Somokuto 039
岩かげまさしく水が湧いてゐる
iwa-kage masashiku mizu ga waite iru
Behind the boulder,
Water trickling,
Just as I thought.
Hinter dem Felsen
tröpfelt leis etwas Wasser,
wie ich vermute.
040/041
ここに白髪を剃り落して去る
koko ni shiraga o sori otoshite saru
秋となつた雑草にすわる
aki to natta zassou ni suwaru
At this place,
Shaving off my grey hair,
I leave.
It has become autumn -
I sit in the weeds.
An diesem Flecken
schere ich mein graues Haar
und werde gehen.
Der Herbst hielt Einzug –
Ich sitze in der Wiese.
042
年とれば故郷こひしいつくつくぼうし
toshi toreba kyou koishii tuku-tuku boshi
Growing old -
Missing the old hometown,
Tsu-ku-tsu-ku-boshi.
Ich werde älter,
vermisse die Heimatstadt.
Zikaden singen.
043
それでよろしい落葉を掃く
sore de yoroshii ochiba wo haku
As they are,
Things are fine,
Sweeping fallen leaves.
Genau wie sie sind,
so sind die Dinge richtig.
Schaukelnd fällt das Laub.
044/45
しみじみ食べる飯ばかりの飯である
shimi-jimi taberu meshi bakari no meshi de aru
酔うてこほろぎと寝てゐたよ
youte korogi to nete ita-yo
Eating this rice-only meal,
Quietly,
Alone.
Oh, I slept,
In drunkeness,
With this cricket.
Ich esse mein Mahl,
das aus nichts als Reis besteht,
still und alleine.
Ich schlief wie im Rausch,
bei mir eine Zikade.
046
物乞ふ家もなくなり山には雲
mono kou ie mo naku nari yama ni wa kumo
No more houses to beg from -
Clouds on the mountain.
Keine Häuser mehr,
an denen man bitten kann.
Wolken auf dem Berg
047
あるひは乞ふことをやめ山を観てゐる
aruiwa kou koto o yame yama o mite iru
On certain days -
Resting from my begging,
Gazing at the mountains.
Bestimmte Tage
muss ich vom Wandern rasten,
Berge betrachten.
048
笠も漏りだしたか
kasa mo mori dashitaka
What?
My kasa too,
Is leaking.
Auch das noch!
Mein Hut wird undicht.
049
うしろすがたのしぐれてゆくか
ushiro sugata no shigurete yukuka
A vague shape from behind -
Into the drizzle,
Disappearing.
Jemand verschwindet
von hinten nur schemenhaft
im Nieselregen.
50
鉄鉢の中へも霰
tetsu hachi no naka e mo arare
Into the begging bowl also -
Hailstones.
Nun bekomme ich
in meine Bettlerschale
die Hagelkörner
.

Der Anspruch ihn auszudrücken, schärft auch den Eindruck.
