Lord Byron: So, we'll go no more a roving
#1
GB
George Gordon Noel Byron
1788 - 1824 Großbritannien

So, we’ll go no more a roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart be still as loving,
And the moon be still as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
And the soul wears out the breast,
And the heart must pause to breathe,
And love itself have rest.

Though the night was made for loving,
And the day returns too soon,
Yet we’ll go no more a roving
By the light of the moon.

Nun wird sich nicht mehr rumgetrieben,
so spät in dunkler Nacht,
mag auch das Herz noch weiter lieben;
Der Mond scheint voll in Pracht.

Das Schwert sein Futteral verschleißt
wie 's mit der Brust die Seele tut;
und einmal geht der Herzschlag leis
und selbst die Liebe ruht.

Zwar ist die Nacht gemacht zum Lieben
und bald stellt sich der Morgen ein,
doch wird sich nicht mehr rumgetrieben
im hellen Mondenschein.

.
Der Anspruch ihn auszudrücken, schärft auch den Eindruck.
